Maslinica is a beautiful small fishing village with pristine clear waters and with houses clustered around the port. Follow up your terraced breakfast and lunch by buying your fish from the local fishermen and enjoy the long evenings cooking your dinner on the large traditional Croatian wood fired BBQ while complementing your food with some stunning Croatian wines; if you want to eat out, there are three restaurants, one of which is part of a 200 hundred year old castle, now a 6 suite up market hotel with its own small marina, located below Bella.
In addition to relaxing, swimming, canoeing, sailing and fishing, other local activities include hiring 8 person motor boats for the day to explore nearby islands; a day trip to two snorkelling or dive sites, a round island sight-seeing trip by boat, and last but not least, staying around the village and using the local beach. Weekly activities could include a day trip to Split, a Unesco heritage site dating from 305 AD, a fabulous walled city with Diocletian's palace and many medieval buildings, travelling by local bus and ferry/catamaran. The historic Unesco town of Hvar is also within 1 hr reach by speedboat.
